Trucking Engineering Supervisor

• Job Summary:

• Can deal with all trucking drivers, solving daily problems, taking the suitable decision to have the best in the production process, to achieve the optimum number of trips.
• Transporting product without loss, in either the plant or on-road. Through continuous follow up of trucks.
• Tracking trucks movement started leaving the plant, until discharge in Aqaba, through continuous follow up of GPS in the shift foreman room.
• Issuing daily report, with number of trips and transported quantities.
• Issuing tracking trucks report daily or on demand.
• Follow up the transport of the product through SAT drivers and service providers, ensuring no product loss or contamination.
• Continuous follow-up with Loading Department to ensure the availability of product in the stores in a smooth manner without any delay in the truck’s movement.
• Coordinate with Aqaba Site; follow up of trucks discharge immediately, especially when fast loading ships are docking, to have direct-to-the-ship discharge.
• Follow up of trucks inspection and cleaning at the trucking platform in site.
• Coordinating the transport of products of other companies, like Kemapco, Bromine and others, to ensure that trucks arrive in a safe no delay manner.
• Follow up of trucks until they reach Aqaba, coordinating with official departments; customs, Public Works, police, logistic company, and civil defense...etc.
• Follow up of inspection tours on drivers, trucks, and trucks platform, considering the Safety Dept. reports, taking needed corrective actions.
• Awareness of safety and health procedures needed, ability to give needed training and awareness to drivers, according to traffic safety requirements.
• Follow up in the trucks garage regarding:
• Follow up of trucks breakdowns in the garage.
• Follow up accidents’ breakdowns.
• Follow-up of drivers’ reports regarding breakdowns.
• Performing a continuous follow up of inside and outside cameras.
• Ensuring that fire extinguishers are ready. Availability of lifting jack and lug nut wrench.
• Follow up the cleaning of truck.
• Follow up continuous PM schedules with garage.
• Performing other duties as required.

•  Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
• At least (7-10) years’ experience in related field
• Fluent in English (reading and writing), Computer skills, MS-Office.
• Ability to deal with reading data from work screens; GPS, shipping pins storage, weighing scale reading...etc.
• Can bear harsh work circumstances, especially exceptional loading and unloading.
• Ability to work in exceptional circumstances, with a flexible personality.
• Analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork& follow up skills.
• Passing the special Exams & Interviews determined for this job.
• The successful candidate must be a non-smoker.
