Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting electrical equipment, this includes power transformers, switchgears, generators (gas, diesel, and steam), MCCs, distribution networks, cables, protection, and SMART relays.
- Carrying out Technical Evaluation of Bids, Issue Bid Technical Clarifications, Technical Evaluation Reports and Recommendations.
- Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
- Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules.
- Review / Validate detailed design and Engineering Deliverables
- Liaising with vendors and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
- Maintaining and improving existing electrical engineering processes.
- Participating in conferences, events, and networking and learning opportunities.
- Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.
- Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
- Ensuring a safe, positive, and safe work environment.
Skills
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Master's degree preferable.
- Extensive practical experience in electrical fields.
- Additional license or certification may be required (Certified Energy Management Professional “CEMP”, Professional Engineer “PE”, Project Management Professional “PMP”).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Practical experience with electrical system S/Ws (SMART relays, DlGSl 5&4, Digital Substation, PLC, SCADA, DCS, Profibus/Mode bus)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities.
- 10-15 years of experience working in the projects and engineering field.
- Age less than 40 years.
