Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide support to the Legal Director and other senior Legal Counsels in the APC legal department on any related legal issues, ensure that the company is conducting its business in full compliance with all applicable laws and signed agreements and ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.
Executive & Technical Duties
- Research and advice on Jordanian law.
- Assist with the management of the legal department’s legal operations and contract life cycle management software.
- Prepare draft presentations on legal issues.
- Draft, subject to further review by other senior Legal Counsel in the APC department, legal documents, letters, agreements, undertakings, legal opinions, and notices which are referred to the legal department.
- Assist in developing and modifying policies and procedures to conform to legal requirements.
- Assist in following up on all legal matters related to projects and to the Company's corporate requirements.
- Improve personal productivity by remaining current on all areas / developments relevant to the position.
Skills
Job Requirements
BSc. Degree from a recognized university in Law with GPA of very good or higher.
At least 2-4 years post being admitted to the Jordanian Bar Association as a practicing lawyer.
of related experience.
High fluency in English & Arabic; reading, speaking, and writing.
Strong computer skills
Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and the ability to communicate properly in oral and written form.
Experience with legal operations is highly desirable.
The successful candidate has to be a non-smoker.
