Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for the examination, advising, acceptance, amendments and of documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit
  • Gathering of necessary information or documentation to complete Letters of Credit and any related financial transactions.
  • Checking all information thoroughly to ensure there are no errors and what is being presented is evaluated and validated correctly in the interests of the company and its policies.
  • Verifies and approves payments and acceptances for import/export Letters of Credit.
  • Prepares payments, ticklers, correspondences for standby Letters of Credit.
  • Deal with TELEX/SWIFT responses for tracers/queries on Letters of Credit.

Skills

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • (3-5) years’ experience in LC/ LG Trade Finance department and Commercial Services.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office operating system as well as any other software common to this role.
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, solve problems under time constraints, meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Safety Awareness.
  • The successful candidate should be a non-smoker.
