Job Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the examination, advising, acceptance, amendments and of documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit
- Gathering of necessary information or documentation to complete Letters of Credit and any related financial transactions.
- Checking all information thoroughly to ensure there are no errors and what is being presented is evaluated and validated correctly in the interests of the company and its policies.
- Verifies and approves payments and acceptances for import/export Letters of Credit.
- Prepares payments, ticklers, correspondences for standby Letters of Credit.
- Deal with TELEX/SWIFT responses for tracers/queries on Letters of Credit.
Skills
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- (3-5) years’ experience in LC/ LG Trade Finance department and Commercial Services.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office operating system as well as any other software common to this role.
- Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, solve problems under time constraints, meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Safety Awareness.
- The successful candidate should be a non-smoker.
